Actress Christina Ricci is defending recent riots that have rocked France.

A Threads user posted on Saturday: “Stop calling what’s happening in France ’protests.’ These are rioting MOBS.” Ms. Ricci responded, “Yes and those ’rioting mobs’ are protesting the state of the world.”

In another Threads post on the same day, a user shared video footage of storefronts being destroyed by rioters. Ms. Ricci replied, “Capitalism doesn’t need your grief.”
