Actress Sophia Bush says one of her co-stars on “One Tree Hill” warned her not to date fellow co-star Chad Michael Murray, whom she divorced after five months of marriage in 2006.
Ms. Bush, 44, gave the full details in an interview on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, saying actress Hilarie Burton had “explicitly” told her not to date Mr. Murray.
Ms. Bush said Ms. Burton had worked with Mr. Murray on another show, which “wasn’t a great experience” for Ms. Burton.

The three actors were featured in the angsty teen drama “One Tree Hill,” which aired first on the WB network and subsequently on the CW from 2003 to 2012.
Ms. Bush said the distance between her and Ms. Burton resulted because “I didn’t listen” and lacked the “wherewithal” to heed her advice.
Ms. Bush also said she has since befriended women Mr. Murray allegedly cheated on her with, a topic she addresses in her upcoming memoir, “And I Will Tell You Mine: Notes from a Life in Progress.”
