Erin Foster, the creator of the Netflix show “Nobody Wants This,” disagrees with comments about Palestine and Israel from the show’s lead actor, Adam Brody.

In a September GQ interview, Mr. Brody called the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians a “genocide.”

“Put me down as wanting a free Palestine,” Mr. Brody added.

“You know, it’s complicated,” Ms. Foster says in a clip from a forthcoming episode of the “Not Skinny but Not Fat” podcast. “I think our work environment, our set is very similar to dinner tables around the world where people are having debate and discussion and disagreeing.”

Ms. Foster converted to Judaism ahead of her 2019 marriage to music exec Simon Tikhman. Her show, “Nobody Wants This,” is about a woman who converts to Judaism after falling in love with a rabbi played by Mr. Brody.

“While I love Adam, I also disagree with him,” Ms. Foster adds in the clip. “And that’s OK.”
