Minneapolis officials said Wednesday several people, including two police officers, were injured in a shooting downtown.
The City of Minneapolis posted on social media that gunfire erupted near the Minneapolis Convention Center on Wednesday afternoon.
Local ABC affiliate KSTP-TV reported that there were at least six victims in the shooting.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said his public safety team is joining the response to the shooting.
An alert sent out by the University of St. Thomas in neighboring St. Paul said a suspect was taken into custody.
