Hoyas enter Big East Tournament trying to jump off NCAA bubble

If it's true that it's all about energy and effort to get the Hoyas going, this most urgent of weeks should provide all the motivation they need. Georgetown is stuck on the NCAA Tournament bubble and needs a good showing in the Big East Tournament to earn an at-large bid into the big dance.

Knight emerges for Tribe as one of the nation's top centers

Nathan Knight has been named a top 10 candidate for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year award. Others on that list include Georgetown senior Jessie Govan and Maryland junior Bruno Fernando.

Maryland's Bruno Fernando and Georgetown's Jessie Govan, two of the 10 finalists for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award for the best center in college basketball, are thriving in a time when basketball moves away from big men to the outside shot.
