Maryland seeks external review in Jordan McNair's death

The University of Maryland has asked an external group to review whether proper protocol was followed in the treatment and care of offensive lineman Jordan McNair, who was hospitalized after a team workout and died two weeks later.

Alexandria's Connor Van Hoose drafted by Yankees

It is understatement that Alexandria's Connor Van Hoose was stunned when he found out Tuesday he had been selected in the Major League Baseball Draft by the New York Yankees. The right-hander pitcher from Bucknell of the Patriot League was taken in the eighth round.
