CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) - A pharmacist has admitted his role in what authorities say was a long-running conspiracy to illegally distribute and dispense large quantities of oxycodone and other drugs from two pharmacies in a New Jersey town.
Federal prosecutors say David Goldfield recently pleaded guilty to six counts in an indictment charging him with conspiracy and illegal distribution and dispensing of drugs. The 58-year-old Medford Lakes man faces several decades in prison when he’s sentenced March 31.
Goldfield and his employer, 44-year Michael Ludwikowski of Medford, were both arrested last month. The charges against Ludwikowski are still pending.
Prosecutors say Ludwikowski owned two Medford pharmacies. They have said he and Goldfield distributed and dispensed oxycodone and other drugs to addicts and others who presented phony prescriptions.
