BARNSTABLE, Mass. (AP) - A Cape Cod man is headed to prison for his role in a 2014 home invasion in which the victims were brutally attacked.
The Cape Cod Times (https://bit.ly/2e8calE ) reports that 23-year-old Justin Garber, of Hyannis, pleaded guilty Monday to charges including armed burglary and assault and home invasion. He was sentenced to 12 years behind bars.
Prosecutors say Garber and two other men entered the home through a locked basement door and knocked a man unconscious with a baseball bat. They say the men beat two other women at the residence.
Garber’s attorney says his client physically committed some of the acts he pleaded to but was only an accessory before the fact on some of the charges.
