Actor Neal McDonough, known for playing Malcolm Beck in “Yellowstone,” said in a recent podcast interview that he has never watched a single episode of the show.

Mr. McDonough spoke with Raymond Arroyo on the “Arroyo Grande” podcast, telling him, “I don’t watch any of my stuff,” adding, “It’s too painful. It’s too hard.”

Mr. McDonough said he immerses himself so fully in his roles that revisiting them is difficult.

It’s reported that at premieres he and his wife, Ruve McDonough, walk the red carpet, leave during the screening and return for the after-party.

The actor explained, “I was there on the day” and “I know I did a great job because God gave me a talent.”

Malcolm Beck appeared in six episodes of Season 2 and had John Dutton’s grandson Tate kidnapped, which led to an assault on the Beck brothers and Malcolm’s apparent death.

Mr. McDonough told TV Insider in 2022 that he wasn’t sure Malcolm died, since viewers never saw his eyes close.

Currently, he’s playing Cal Thresher on “Tulsa King,” which has been renewed for a fifth season.
