MAYS LANDING, N.J. (AP) - A man who stabbed and seriously injured a 92-year-old man during a home invasion robbery has been sentenced to 20 years in state prison.

Atlantic County prosecutors say Robert Bilhardt must serve at least 17 years before he becomes eligible for parole under the sentence imposed Friday.

The 29-year-old Egg Harbor Township man was accused of attacking the victim in December 2013 at a mobile home park in Egg Harbor Township. The victim’s vehicle was also stolen.

Bilhardt, who also lived in the mobile home park, was arrested later that day in nearby Cape May County. He pleaded guilty in March 2015 to several charges, including attempted murder, attempted robbery, assault and attempted burglary.
