The Nationals have traded minor-league outfielder Ryan Langerhans to the Mariners in exchange for minor-league infielder Mike Morse.
Langerhans had long since been the odd-man out in Washington’s system, given all the other outfielders in the organization. So his departure isn’t very surprising.
Morse, meanwhile, is a 27-year-old with good offensive numbers. He hit .300 in 300 career at-bats with the Mariners over the last four seasons, but he was stuck at Class AAA Tacoma this year with a .312 average and 10 homers.
