Scott, Philistin questionable

← return to D1SCOURSE

Want to know the difference between Ralph Friedgen in an above average mood, an average mood and a lousy mood?

Try his responses to questions about injuries.

If he’s feeling lousy, you’ll get “I told you, I’m not talking about injuries.”

If it’s middle of the road, it will be a polite “I’d rather not get into that right now.”

If it’s a particularly good mood, he’ll bring up the topic himself.

That was the case tonight, when he mentioned tailback Da’Rel Scott and linebacker Dave Philistin as being questionable for next Thursday’s game at Virginia Tech. Both will remain noncontact throughout the week.

OK, so there wasn’t much of an update on their shoulder injuries. But at least Friedgen was as open as could possibly be expected.
