Navy quarterback Kriss Proctor was named the independents offensive player of the week.

The senior quarterback returned after missing a game with a dislocated throwing elbow to run for 37 yards and two touchdowns while completing four of six passes for 127 yards and another score.

Oh, and all of that came in the first half of the Midshipmen’s 42-14 rout of Troy.

Proctor was also the offensive player of the week among independents (Army, Brigham Young, Navy and Notre Dame) in the season’s first week.
