Navy quarterback Kriss Proctor and kicker Jon Teague earned player of the week honors as part of a first-year initiative to honor players from major-college independents.

Proctor rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns and added a touchdown pass in Navy’s 40-17 victory over Delaware. He shared the offensive player of the week honor with Notre Dame wideout Michael Floyd.

Teague connected on a school-record 54-yard field goal en route to the special teams player of the week honor. He made both of his field goal attempts and was 4-for-5 on extra points.

The independent player of the week honors are voted on by a panel of media members drawn from national writers and media members from the media markets of Army, Brigham Young, Navy and Notre Dame.
