Forward Charles Mitchell signed with Maryland on Thursday.

The 6-foot-8 power forward committed to the Terrapins last month. He is the fourth member of Maryland’s first full recruiting class under coach Mark Turgeon.

Guard Seth Allen, center Shaquille Cleare and forward Jake Layman signed with Maryland in November.

Mitchell, who Rivals.com ranked as the No. 92 player in the class of 2012, averaged 17 points and 12 rebounds for Wheeler High School in Marietta, Ga.

Mitchell will join Cleare in a frontcourt mix that also includes holdovers Alex Len, James Padgett and Ashton Pankey.
