Maryland hired Kansas State volunteer assistant Robert Vaughn as a baseball assistant.

Vaughn, who worked with new Terps coach John Szefc the last two years, will also be the Terrapins’ recruiting coordinator.

Vaughn was a three-year starter at Kansas State and worked as a volunteer assistant with the Wildcats the last two years.

Szefc was hired last month to replace Erik Bakich, who departed Maryland to take the head coaching job at Michigan in June.
