Maryland forward Charles Mitchell was named the ACC’s rookie of the week after scoring 19 points and adding 14 rebounds in Saturday’s victory over Delaware State.

Mitchell is the second Terp to earn a weekly honor this season, joining Alex Len (the league’s player of the week for the first week of the season). Len was also the last Terp to win the conference’s rookie of the week honor.
