Alexander Semin began the day on the top line with Alex Ovechkin and Sergei Fedorov, but he’s taking shifts on the third line now in the third period with Michael Nylander and Brooks Laich. Semin hasn’t had a very good game so far. He didn’t do much to help out on the first goal despite being in position, and he took a bad hooking penalty that led to the second Detroit goal.

Viktor Kozlov, who just assisted on Alex Ovechkin’s goal, has earned the promotion as well with one of his better games of late.
