Semin, Bradley "iffy" for tomorrow

← return to In The Room

Bruce Boudreau said both Alexander Semin and Matt Bradley missed practice because they are sick and both are “iffy” for tomorrow night in Toronto. There have been a lot of guys with some variation of a cold/flu bug for a while now, and Boudreau said it is still making its way through the team.

Brian Pothier was the last guy out on the ice, but that doesn’t mean he will be the odd man out on defense tomorrow night. Though it could mean that.

The Caps are closing in on clinching a playoff berth and the Southeast Divsion title. Washington’s “magic number” is currently 102 points for the division and 101 for a playoff berth, though that number decreases when Carolina and/or Florida don’t gain two points (like when they face each other tonight).

Still, the Caps have some issues to work out over the final eight games, and they hope to use this stretch run to round into form heading into the postseason (more on that in tomorrow’s paper).
