The Washington Times - August 28, 2009, 11:52AM

Anyone who thought that this Michael Vick-Donovan McNabb buddy program would work well for the Philadelphia Eagles is delusional.
McNabb has always been extremely sensitive to threats to his job in the past. Despite his declared intentions to help Vick —  and even his recruitment of the convicted leader of a dogfighting ring — no one could have seriously believed that McNabb would not balk at Vick’s role once it began. McNabb is a diva who never has really been truly embraced by the Eagles fans who gave Vick a standing ovation in his first appearance in the NFL since 2006 on Thursday night in the preseason game against Jacksonville at Lincoln Financial Field.
We will only see more evidence of this — particularly from the Philly fans after a bad McNabb performance.
