Fletcher misses again

A Happy Turkey Day from Redskin Park.

The team practiced from 11 a.m. to about 12:20 p.m. today.

Not practicing: Clinton Portis, Marcus Washington, London Fletcher, Kedric Golston, Cornelius Griffin and Andre Carter.

Back practicing: Chris Samuels (limited) and Pete Kendall (full).

Coach Jim Zorn said Griffin and Golston did drill work on a side field. Carter has shed his walking boot but still stayed inside during practice.

The biggest concern is Fletcher. Zorn didn’t sound optimistic about Fletcher’s availabilty for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. “We’ll see,” Zorn said. “We’re getting H.B. [Blades] ready completely.”

Fletcher has never missed an NFL game. If Blades has to play MLB, Alfred Fincher will get the nod at strong-side LB, where Blades has filled in for Marcus Washington. Zorn hopes Fletcher can do something Friday.
