I just got back from my annual run in Dallas. I really needed the release today after a very loud plane trip down from DCA. The small plane was filled with both Redskins and Cowboys fans and they yapped at each other for much of the flight. Maybe the rivalry is back because the teams have split the past three seasons after Dallas sweeps in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004. Or maybe it’s because both teams have been good more often than not the last couple of years.

I wish I had stayed at my usual spot in Las Colinas so I could run through pretty NorthLake Community College, running through airport hotel parking lots is better on my 48-year-old back than the former’s hilly course, but it’s missing any ambience except for running by a street called Dulles Drive. Most of the streets around my hotel are named after airports.
