Gregg Williams might have lost two jobs in two years, but he’s still a hot commodity for teams looking for a defensive coordinator.

The Redskins’ defensive boss from 2004-07 was thought to be the successor when Joe Gibbs retired a year ago today. Instead, the prickly Williams wound up being fired last Jan. 26. He moved on to Jacksonville, but that 1-year stint didn’t go well. But Williams interviewed today for the vacancy in New Orleans and is also apparently being pursued by Green Bay and Houston.

Speaking of the Texans, they canned two terrific ex-Redskins staffers: trainer Kevin Bastin and strength coach Dan Riley. Houston once was laden with former Redskins under the guidance of founding general manager Charley Casserly, who left the organization in 2006.
