Here’s the timetable for the legal proceeding in which defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth faces a $7.5 million lawsuit in Tennessee.

Haynesworth has yet to be formally served with the suit since he has been working with the Redskins in Virginia. Once he is served (his attorney can accept for him if he remains out of state), Haynesworth will have 30 days to respond. At that point, Jonathan Perry, the attorney for plaintiff Corey Edmonson will request a scheduling conference with a judge in Williamson County Court.

Written discovery responses and requested documents must be supplied within 45 days. Perry said he is hopeful the case can be resolved without going to trial.

Haynesworth faces a hearing on criminal counts of reckless driving and driving wiht an expired registration on June 8 in Williamson County in the wake of the Dec. 13, 2008 traffic accident in which Edmonson was injured.
