Ex-Redskins K Murray honored

Ex-Redskins K Eddie Murray is one of more than 40 ex-Lions being honored by the team on Alumni Day today.

Among the others being honored are: Hall of Fame cornerback Lem Barney; former safety Bennie Blades, father of current Redskins linebacker H.B. Blades; Hall of Fame tight end Charlie Sanders, Pro Bowl tackle Lomas Brown and defensive lineman Robert Porcher, remembered in Washington for getting ejected from the January 2000 wild card playoff game at FedEx Field for a fight with Redskins guard Tre Johnson.

That remains the Redskins’ only home playoff game since the 1991 Super Bowl season.
