Rep. Anthony Weiner, New York Democrat, announced on Saturday he will be seeking treatment amid calls for him to resign from office from both Democrats and Republicans. However, he said his behavior with the women he was communicating with online could not be “treated away” when asked at his Monday presser if he would be seeking professional help.

REP. WEINER: I have not — you know, I’m going to try to handle this, and I haven’t ruled out perhaps seeing someone. But I’m not blaming anyone. This is not something that can be treated away; this is my own personal mistake. This is not something — this is a weakness, a deep weakness, that I have demonstrated, and for that I apologize.
