Bethesda family gives thanks by giving to Sandy victims
The Audas family of Bethesda, Md. has collected clothing and will spend their Thanksgiving in N.J. volunteering to help Sandy victims.
Nine-year-old Andrew Audas carries newly donated bags into the basement of his Bethesda, Md. home while his dad, Jim, gets more bags from outside. Their house has become the home base for the family's "Project Keep Them Cozy." The Audas children were struck by the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy and told their parents they wanted to do something to help. So they created "Project Keep Them Cozy" and asked friends, schoolmates and neighbors to donate hats, gloves, coats and scarves. They have received all kinds of clothing, blankets and bedding, which they will drive up to New Jersey. They plan to stay up there through the Thanksgiving holiday to volunteer.
