Three people were shot Tuesday night in Northeast D.C.
The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of Benning Road Northeast.
Early reports from emergency personnel indicate that one person was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and that the two others suffered serious injuries. Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Officer Hugh Carew said two men were conscious and breathing when taken to a hospital but had no information on the third victim.
Police issued a lookout for a black man with a dark complexion and long dreadlocks, last seen in a black coat and armed with two guns.
