BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp says more than $2.5 million in federal funding will be provided for early childhood learning and development programs on two North Dakota reservations.

The Democratic senator says more than $1.5 million will be provided to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and more than $1 million will go to the Spirit Lake Nation. The funds at both reservations will aid the respective Head Start programs.
