"There will be a lot of soul-searching to identify what happened and why it happened," said Michael Czin, a Democratic consultant and former DNC press secretary. "It's not one race or one mistake or one thing. It is a cocktail of issues that need to be addressed."
"It helps make the choice clear to voters in the closing days that you have someone who has this fringe view on foreign policy, and that does help," Mr. Czin said. "Regardless of what's going on with Comey and the FBI, I think to make the stakes clear now is beneficial. At any point in the campaign, this was an argument that is beneficial."
