Hello from Denver, where the Nationals start a three-game series with the Rockies tonight at the unusual time of 6:40 local (8:40 Eastern). Not much news to report from here yet, but there is this one item, just passed along from the Nats:
Please note that RHP Kip Wells has cleared waivers and elected free agency.

So that’s the end of the Kip Wells experiment, which ran its course from its high point to low point in about two months. Like most of these stopgap options, Wells’ usefulness ran out quickly, but it cost the Nats next to nothing.
