Jesus Colome has joined Kip Wells in the club of ex-Nationals relievers looking for work. The team announced this morning that Colome rejected his outright assignment to Class AAA Syracuse and has elected free agency.

No big surprise there—Colome was brought back on a minor-league deal before this season, and had pretty much run out of rope here. But it does further winnow the list of veteran Nats relievers bouncing around the farm system.
