The transactions on MILB.com (minor-league baseball) show that the Nationals recalled right-hander Tyler Clippard from Class AAA Syracuse today. That report, however, is erroneous.
A Nationals team official said the move was never made, and Clippard has not been added to the big league roster.

So what happened? Here’s my theory: After Jesus Colome hurt his groin last night, the Nationals made plans to call Clippard up. But once Colome threw in the bullpen this morning and showed he was fine, the Nats scrapped those plans.
So all you Clippard fans who want to see the guy with the 0.96 ERA in a Nats uniform are going to have to keep waiting.
