We are less than an hour from scheduled first pitch of tonight’s Giants-Nationals doubleheader. Will there actually be baseball, though, and will Randy Johnson have his shot at career win No. 300?

Tough to say. The tarp has been on the infield all afternoon, and there’s been a steady drizzle most of this time. And with rain basically in the forecast until Saturday, it’s hard to believe they’re going to be able to get two games in tonight.

That said, if you have a ticket to today’s proceedings (and even if you don’t have a ticket but want to see history) I say come on out and show up. You’ve got to think they’re going to find a way to get at least one game in, and Randy Johnson will be pitching that game. If it requires rain gear and galoshes, so be it.

So in the spirit of wishful thinking, here are the lineups for Game 1…
