Here’s a weird little item for you with the Humanitarian Bowl just 20 days away…

Not only have Maryland and Nevada never met.


Not only do Maryland and Nevada have no common opponents.

But none of the schools on the Terrapins‘ schedule met any of the teams on the Wolf Pack’s schedule this year.

That’s pretty amazing.

Granted, both schools only played 11 games against major-college teams. But when those 11 opponents have nothing to do with the 11 teams on the other team’s schedule, that is a little quirky.

I’ll take a look a little bit later to see if any other of the 34 bowl matchups have so few threads between the two teams. But here’s guessing that answer is probably not many.
