Here’s the single biggest thing that was really learned about Georgetown from today’s 79-70 overtime defeat of Memphis.

At this stage, the Hoyas’ rotation barely reaches seven.

Outside of Georgetown’s five starters and top reserve Jason Clark, no one else was on the floor for the final 9:30 (4:30 of regulation plus overtime). Aside from the top six, the Hoyas’ other reserves played a combined 8:07 after halftime.

In the long run, it just isn’t sustainable to have a six-man rotation.

But it worked today, which is frankly pretty amazing given the posse of athletes Memphis can unleash.

Anyway, here’s the plus-minus breakdown for the eight guys who actually played for the 7-1 Hoyas:

Player 1st half
2nd half
OT +/-
3-Summers +3 +1 +9 +13
4-Wright 0 +3 +9 +12
10-Monroe -1 +1 +9 +9
15-Freeman -9 -2 +9 -2
20-Clark -5 -2 0 -7
21-Sapp +3 0 +9 +12
22-Vaughn 0 0 DNP 0
31-Wattad +4 +4 DNP
