This might be the proof that your humble blogger is certifiably insane.

With an 11 a.m. kickoff to cover tomorrow morning I’m … 60 miles from D1scourse headquarters to get an in-person look at George Mason for the first time this season.

OK, maybe a little nuts. But it’s good to have a sense for as many teams as possible. The Delmarva/D.C. won’t rank itself, and as much info as possible is a good thing.

Anyway, should be good to see Jim Larranaga‘s team. The Patriots are sound, as usual, and at 6-2 look like they will again be in the mix in the CAA this season. And with seven players averaging at least six points, there’s plenty of balance with this bunch.

Radford, meanwhile is 1-6 against Division I teams, but did take Navy to overtime and lost by two at Virginia. OK, losing by two at Virginia isn’t a huge deal this year, but that’s still reasonably heady stuff for a program that owns one winning season in the last seven years.

OK, time to get to courtside. Don’t want to miss out on the Doc Nix show any more than I already have.
