Wake Forest just closed out a victory over Navy in the first EagleBank Bowl.

Give a lot of credit to Riley Skinner, who completed every pass he attempted today. Skinner was named the MVP after going 11-for-11 for 161 yards and a touchdown, as well as a two-point conversion.

But Wake’s defense, which yielded only 12 points and contained the Midshipmen’s offense in the second half, also merits praise. That’s especially true of the Deacons’ defensive line, which found itself in Navy’s backfield rather quickly on several occasions.

OK, heading down to postgame. I’ll have more later on in the afternoon.
