Just wanted to follow on the Steve Goins injury before shutting down the laptop for the night.
The freshman said after today’s 72-51 defeat of Bryant his lower left leg was bothering him for two months.
Not two days. Or two weeks.
Obviously, it was something he tried to play through. And, after a while, it became worth looking at.
Coach Gary Williams hopes to get Goins’ MRI exam results back reasonably soon, a sketchy proposition during a holiday stretch. Rmember how long it took Jordan Steffy‘s MRI results to return over the Labor Day holiday?
Either way, you’d have to consider Goins questionable —- at best —- for Tuesday’s game against Elon. And after that, quite honestly, there probably aren’t going to be many more opportunities for the 12th or 13th man on Maryland’s roster to earn much playing time for the rest of the season.
