Maryland was drawing attention from three members of the AP’s 72-voter panel last week.


Then the Terps beat American and Bryant, and it was down to one.

Amazingly, Mark Berman of the Roanoke Times has Maryland at No. 14, accounting for 12 points in the poll. That’s four spots behind Georgetown (who Maryland lost to) and just ahead of Michigan and Michigan State (who the Terps beat), so it’s clear some sort of thought is being put into this.

And that is that for chasing down poll position for the week.
