Just had an interested third party (or is it fourth party) pass along this morsel about of Boise today.

According to KBCI, the CBS affiliate in the Idaho state capital, Humanitarian Bowl officials are busily preparing for the Dec. 30 game between Nevada and Maryland.

OK, that was the boring part.

Actually, it’s the relevant part for consumers in Boise. But for folks in the Baltimore/D.C. area looking for relevant info, the lead is absolutely buried:

As of Monday afternoon the University of Maryland says it’s sold about 16 tickets to the game. The University of Nevada says it’s sold 8 so far.

Guess that means the clash of the 7-5 titans on the blue sod of Boise isn’t generating much buzz outside the 208 area code.

For the folks at the bowl, I sure hope they can generate some interest in the community, because it seems unlikely there will be a huge contingent coming from ACC country outside of players’ families.
