ANNAPOLIS —- Navy needed 12 plays to complete a touchdown march to open the game.

Temple responded with a 10-play TD drive of its own.

And now Navy has just broached midfield after six plays.

So even though the Midshipmen have deigned to unveil the passing game —- one attempt is still one more than a week ago —- things remain fairly methodicalin this game.

I’ve seen Temple in person in 2005 (simply dreadful), early last season (improved but sloppy) and now late in the 2008 season (competent, especially on offense).

Seriously, someone at a much bigger school is going to come calling for Owls coach Al Golden sooner or later. If he can change things that quickly in Philly, just imagine what he could do for a BCS conference-level mess.
