Loyal reader Bill OB wonders via IM if the jinx is in for Chris Turner as the second quarter begins.

Turner has 103 straight attempts without an interceptions. His last came late in the fourth quarter at Virginia.

Of course, it’s been a run-heavy game so far, with Maryland now up 14-12. Davin Meggett has 58 yards, Da’Rel Scott 47 yards.

Turner, by the way, is 7-for-10 for 66 yards —- numbers that project well over four quarters, but if the heavy rains return it’s hard to imagine him coming close to 40 attempts.
