Florida State just capped a 16-play drive with a Preston Parker 5-yard touchdown reception.

Maryland has a pair of first downs on its first two drives, so there is something encouraging there. Of course, the Terrapins also have a punt into the end zone and a missed 44-yard field goal.

Florida State has only passed sparingly, instead finding ways to carve up Maryland’s front seven on the ground. It’s strikingly similar to the Terps’ loss at Virginia Tech earlier this month.

To state the obvious, Maryland could use an extended scoring drive here after the Seminoles just ripped seven minutes off the clock.

So far, Chris Turner is 4-for-5 for 56 yards, while Da’Rel Scott has six carries for 28 yards. There’s even been a Lansford Watson sighting; the redshirt freshman has his first reception since Sept. 13.
