The AP rankings just came out a few minutes ago, and brought a welcome bit of news for Maryland.

Boston College is ranked this week, tied for 20th nationally.


That gives Maryland a chance to win its seventh straight game against a ranked opponent.

Yes, it’s odd how ranked teams = good for these guys. But that’s the trend, and the Terps may well stick to it.

Maryland, by the way, lost every last shred of support with its 37-3 loss to Florida State.

Other ACC teams in the poll: Georgia Tech (No. 18) and Florida State (No. 23).

And that’s it, even for the “also receiving votes section.”
