Yes, Darrius Heyward-Bey (questionable) was the big name on the injury report.

But it’ll be curious to see how Maryland handles things if Trey Covington (questionable–back) is forced to sit out Saturday’s game at No. 20 Boston College – especially since season-long backup Rick Costa was suspended after his arrest for assault earlier this month.

Certainly, Derek Drummond has played some at LEO the last two games, but there’s only so much behind him.

Jeff Clement, a seldom-used junior, is a possibility. So is using sophomore Adrian Moten. However, Ralph Friedgen has repeatedly said that between the minimal depth at inside linebacker and Moten’s limitations less than two months removed from wrist surgery, it wouldn’t be an ideal move.

This position bears just as much monitoring on Saturday as wide receiver. There’s no media access today or tomorrow, so the next chance to eyeball things in person will be Saturday afternoon in Chestnut Hill.
