A little bit of good news for the Maryland basketball program – after a bit of a rigamarole, Jin Soo Kim has finally qualified.

The freshman forward has been stuck in limbo since the summer, arriving on campus without clearance from the NCAA. After twice being turned down by the NCAA, Kim’s appeal was OK’d today.

Kim is expected to begin practicing Wednesday with the Terps, and coach Gary Williams said late last month he might be one of Maryland’s best shooters already.

Should be curious to see just how he fits into things as the season gets rolling in another week and a half.
