BLACKSBURG, Va. —- There’s plenty to get to from Maryland‘s 23-13 loss at Virginia Tech.

Most of it will have to wait until tomorrow.

But here’s one of two entries to send everything into the deep, dark night. Nolan Carroll re-injured his ankle, and Torrey Smith suffered an Achilles injury. The latter would explain why we saw a lot more of Isaiah Williams in the latter stages of the evening.

Ralph Friedgen didn’t have extensive updates on either.

So that’s the injuries. All of this week’s questionables played, to varying degrees of success. But as is often the case, there’s a new set of players in dubious states of health.
