Only one voter in the entire AP poll – Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News – saw fit to rank Maryland this week.

Wilner places the Terps at No. 23, just ahead of California (which lost at Maryland) and Michigan State (which lost at California).

I like the ironclad devotion to results, but Michigan State has two losses, while Maryland and California have both stumbled three times. So I’m not sure that order makes a ton of sense, but you can probably throw any five teams out to finish the ranking and in decent shape.

But in case, Wilner is the one person voting for the Terps this week, and I don’t doubt his insight makes sense to plenty of Maryland fans at this point.
