There’s a new carpet on the way to Maryland‘s locker room and a new batch of paint (red, black and gold) in the same hallway.

And there’s some new —- nix that, old —- pictures on the walls of the press room.

When I walked in this afternoon, I saw some shots of Drew Nicholas and Tahj Holden —- from Cole Field House, no less.

Now, the suspicious side of me wondered if somehow Maryland was doing everything possible to remind folks of past glory rather than present uncertainty.

But that wasn’t the case. Instead, some folks had come in and cleared the wall off, and there are a bunch of pictures hanging around, and so some photos were just tossed up to make it look like the place hadn’t been ransacked.

Well, maybe the thought of ransacking never crossed anyone’s mind. But it turns out this was a mystery that really wasn’t a mystery.
